Our founder Dr. Daniel E. Cassell earned a BA in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology from Temple University in Pennsylvania, a Masters in Public Health from A.T. Still University in Missouri, and both a Masters and a Doctoral (Ph.D.) in Health Psychology/Behavioral Medicine from Northcentral University in Arizona. Dr. Cassell is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania and a licensed clinical drug and alcohol counselor (LCADC) in NJ. He also holds national and international certificates as a certified family trauma professional (ICFTP), certificate as an advance addictions professional, certified co-occurring disorder professional, and more. With more than 20 years of experience in the mental health and addiction fields backed by his previous work as a behavioral specialist consultant.
Christie Carrera, MSW, LCSW. Regional Program Supervisor/Licensed Therapist
Christie is our Program Supervisor at both our Phillipsburg and New Providence Kwenyan Professional Health locations. Christie received her undergraduate degree in Psychology (BA) from Rider University and her graduate degree in Social Work (MSW) from Rutgers University. Christie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of NJ. Christie holds 5+ years of experience in providing Clinical Therapy. Christie works from an integrative approach; preferred theoretical orientations include DBT, CBT, and SFT. Christie’s experience includes working with those across the life span with a variety of diagnoses and life challenges.
